The List

Before seeing the movie Bucket List I was very familiar with writing lists of things you do before you die. You see when I was five or six I watch the same three movies over and over again. They were recorded together on a VHS tape by my parents. They were Six Weeks, Annie and Grease. Daily I would watch these. The first movie, Six Weeks, was about a young girl who was dying from Leukemia. She had a list of things she wanted to complete before she passed. Her mother played by Mary Tyler Moore and a man she met played by Dudley Moore helped her check off this list which ended with dancing in the Nutcracker in New York City – this is where my parents laugh – oh a story for another day.

Anyway, I am not dying, but I did start my Bucket List. It took me only a day to jot down all 100 things. Now let me tell you JAG says I am a little too young still to have a bucket list. Yes, I agree I will probably finish most of these long before I kick the bucket, but then I will start a new list or add to this one.

If you have any ideas or would like to help me check off my items that would be Awesome! I will keep this list in my tabs above, and then you can see how things are going. And don’t worry I will keep you updated along the way.

  1. I read and re read your list! What a great idea. You know I was recently told that Goals are Dreams with a deadline. I love that. Something I would like to start living by. So, I know a way for you to check two things off your list. Cross country road trip and stand in four states at once. And maybe more. Drive to Four Corners where New Mexico, Arizona, Colorado, and Utah all meet. Then continue on to California...I noticed some more on there that maybe you could check off the list.
